Shari Benjamin, LMSW, CTP, CNP
Shari Benjamin is currently practicing under the clinical supervision of Dr. Denisa Millette. She is a Psychotherapist, Licensed Master Social Worker, Certified Trauma Professional, and U.S. Army veteran who believes it is through service to others that we find our purpose. Shari obtained her bachelor's (in 2019) and master's in Social Work (in 2020) at Georgia State University.
Shari is passionate about helping individuals, families, and communities restore or cultivate emotional, physical, and social well-being. Since trading in her boots for a listening ear and a comfy couch, Shari has been actively engaged in various social work and mental health fields. She has worked in nonprofit, government, and private settings, providing community outreach, trauma assessment, counseling, life coaching, case management, and client advocacy for nearly seven years. Shari specializes in working with clients experiencing mild to severe PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use, and other mental health disorders.
Shari's person-in-environment approach helps clients understand their unique challenges and strengths and consider the connection between their identities, histories, personalities, abilities, goals, relationships, and well-being. Shari has experience using trauma-informed body practice and meditation, narrative, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), expressive art and play, therapies, and motivational interviewing. Clients have ranged from age 3 to 70+.

Whitney Merrit
Whitney Merritt is currently practicing under the clinical supervision of Dr. Denisa Millette as she seeks her licensure as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor.
Whitney has been passionate about counseling since she opened her first psychology textbook in college. Whitney graduated from Georgia State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. After graduation, Whitney lived in 11 countries over the course of a year, volunteering with local nonprofits in each country. Through her service work around the world, she found her passion in listening to people's stories and helping them find hope and healing in their circumstances. When Whitney returned to the states after her volunteer work, she started her master’s degree in School Counseling, graduating in 2020. She has worked in the school system for 4 years in various roles, as a special education paraprofessional, graduation coach, and high school counselor. She enjoys working with a diverse population of students in her virtual charter school as a school counselor and is excited to grow her skills in the clinical setting working with Dr. Denisa as her supervisor. Whitney has experience with multicultural counseling, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy. Whitney is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and believes in the mind/body connection involved in healing.
