When Whitney returned to the states after her volunteer work, she started her master’s degree in School Counseling, graduating in 2020. She has worked in the school system for 4 years in various roles, as a special education paraprofessional, graduation coach, and high school counselor. She enjoys working with a diverse population of students in her virtual charter school as a school counselor and is excited to grow her skills in the clinical setting working with Dr. Denisa as her supervisor. Whitney has experience with multicultural counseling, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy.
