Healing Through Trauma and Difficult Life Transitions with Somatic Wisdom, Creative Expression, and Compassionate Guidance
WELCOME TO
Welcome
Life can change in an instant — through trauma, loss, chronic illness, or painful transitions that reshape who we are and how we move through the world. Healing in these seasons requires gentleness, safety, and a space where your story is honored with compassion and depth.
I’m Dr. Denisa Millette, a licensed trauma psychotherapist and healing practitioner. My work integrates evidence‑based psychotherapy, somatic (mind-body) practices, creative expression, and spiritual inclusivity to help my individual clients and families rebuild safety, reconnect with their values, restore hope, and move toward a life worth living — even when pain or uncertainty remain part of the journey.
Primary Focus and Specialization:
Trauma Recovery
Gentle, evidence‑based support for clients healing from acute, chronic, or developmental trauma. Approaches include trauma-informed ACT, CBT, and DBT, somatic awareness, grounding practices, and strengths‑based processing.
Diagnostics and Clinical Assessments
Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and clinical assessments that integrate trauma-informed, evidence-based, and mind-body approaches to create individualized treatment plans.
Loss & Grief
Compassionate care for those navigating bereavement, ambiguous loss, relational loss, and identity shifts that accompany major life changes.
Living with Chronic Illness & Pain
Supporting clients living with chronic medical conditions, pain, fatigue, or long‑term health challenges — integrating mind‑body practices, pacing, self-expression, values‑based living, and emotional resilience.
Somatic Practices
Body‑based approaches that help regulate the nervous system, restore safety, and reconnect with embodied wisdom. Gut-brain wellness. Clinical, somatic yoga-based techniques. Qigong. Breathwork. Body tapping.
Art Therapy & Creative Healing
Watercolor, mandala work, expressive arts, and creative exploration to support emotional processing, identity rebuilding, and gentle self‑expression for clients who have difficulty verbalizing their experiences.
Family Reunification
Trauma‑informed support for families navigating reunification, instability, or major transitions — with a focus on safety, connection, and healing.
Healing does not erase the past — it transforms your relationship with it. Together, we work toward a life that feels meaningful, grounded, and aligned with your deepest values.
A life worth living is possible, even here.
