How to Get a Beautiful Smile Naturally

brush-teeth

It comes as no surprise that we all desire a beautiful, disarming smile.  Today, the shelves in supermarkets and pharmacies are overflowing with oral care products to help you get those shiny pearly whites.  Sadly, most of these products are made with harmful chemicals that most of us are unfamiliar with and unable to pronounce.  In this post, I would like to offer you a much healthier, true and tried alternative to achieve a beautiful smile and a fresh breath.  My family loves and use all of them, especially the toothpaste.  They are all very simple and cheap to make, so they are not just 100% natural, but also FRUGAL!!

TOOTHPASTE:

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup of baking soda

  • 3 tsp. sea salt (this gives the toothpaste a better texture; however, this can be omitted if you don’t like the saltiness)

  • 10 drops of an essential oils (you can use any kind you enjoy; I personally prefer peppermint or tea tree oil for its healing properties)

  • filtered water (keep adding small amounts until you reach a desired consistency of your toothpaste)

What you do:

  • Mix all the ingredients and store in a small container with a lid.

  • You could also use a small ziplock bag and cut of one of the corner to easily squeeze the toothpaste onto a toothbrush

MOUTHWASH

Option 1 – Refreshing Herbal Mouthwash

  • 4 leaves of mint

What you do:

  • Brew the herbs in the water for 20 minutes

  • Let cool down

  • Happy rinsing!

Option 2 – Fresh Breath Mouthwash

  • 1 cup of filtered water

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 10 tsp of peppermint or tea tree essential oil
